Following the successful introduction last year the Okanagan Hockey School will again be offering a Power Skating, Skills and Combine Testing Camp. Held on 6 Saturday afternoons in June and July these sessions supplement the long standing multi day camps. The camp will focus on specific skating and individual skills to support our students ongoing development.
Weeks 1 and 6 will feature “combine testing” of a player’s speed and agility both with and without pucks. This is a great opportunity for students to understand where they are on their development pathway and help us to identify specific areas of improvement. It also allows students to compare their results to some of the best players in the world and see their progress over the period of the camp.
Weeks 2 to 5 will consist of one hour of power skating and one hour of individual skill development. There will be a 15 minute interval during which the ice will be resurfaced and students can take refreshments on board.
Students will be given printed copies of their results from both of their Combine Tests and the results will also be held on our database for comparison with future tests. A taste of Combine Testing can be found by clicking here.
All students aged 8 and older will benefit from this camp.
