06 Jul NEWEST SIGNING: Tom Stephens
Okanagan Hockey Academy UK are delighted to announce our newest signing for the 20/21 season, 17-year-old Tom Stephens.
Tom started playing hockey in Milton Keynes and has worked his way up the ranks all the way through to senior hockey where he played last season. Over the last three years, Tom has also played at the conference level and has guested for OHA UK on one of our trips to Canada where Head Coach Ryan Aldridge was impressed with Tom.
Head Coach Ryan Aldridge said:
Tom is a great young man who will add maturity to our group. He is a strong D man who is looking to improve his game and continue to impress at both the junior and senior level. He knows the value of the programme we offer here and is looking to take this year to improve in key areas of his game and make the full-time senior jump when he knows he is ready. After having Tom join us in Ontario and seeing how he conducts himself both on and off the ice I know he will be a big part our team next year.
On joining OHA UK, Tom said:
“When I have played with and against OHA players I have always been impressed with the level of hockey produced and when I went to Canada in February with OHA I had a fantastic experience and I can’t wait to join the team in September. The opportunity to train and play with great coaches and team mates will really allow me to develop my game.”
Everyone at the Okanagan Hockey UK Academy are pleased to have Tom on board for the coming season and we look forward to welcoming all the team in September.
